West Vancouver Places

West Vancouver is bountiful in beautiful parks, one of which is Ambleside Park. With spectacular views of Stanley Park and Downtown Vancouver, Ambleside is a great park with a beach area for volleyball or basking in the sun, a dog park, a waterpark, a playground for the kids (and kids at heart), and plenty of green space for picnics or sports! Whytecliff Park is just west of Horseshoe Bay and offers views of the mountains and passing boats. If you like scuba diving, tennis, swimming or hiking, this is the place for you!

There's a reason why Vancouver's North Shore is the place "Where Nature Lives". The Upper Lands are forest-blanketed mountains abundant with hiking trails and mountain biking trails. For a scenic yet somewhat hilly ride, you can even ride your road bike to Stanley Park from West Vancouver.

Cypress, Grouse and Mount Seymour are three popular mountains throughout the year. During the summer, these mountains are great for hiking and for scenic views. Between November and April, winter activities such as skiing and snowboarding are popular activities on Cypress, Grouse and Seymour. For more winter activities, click here.
